Glass sliding doors from Anyway Doors are always made-to-measure. This allows for a wide range of systems and glass types. The sliding door system is well thought-out and practically designed, with the compact aluminium rail concealing all fittings and sliding techniques. The aluminium rail is designed in such a way that it can be attached both to the ceiling and to the wall. The invisibly integrated techniques create a silent operating sliding system that can handle glass sliding panels of up to 125 kg. If desired, a glass sliding door can also be installed between two walls, but you will find more information about this below.
Glass sliding doors are ideal as an optical screen between 2 rooms. The intended function, location and set-up determine the choice of glass and the type of sliding door. Full glass sliding doors offer an optical screen but will not stop acoustics. The sliding doors with an aluminium frame around the glass offer increased acoustic and thermal resistance.
Sliding doors are trendy and are often prescribed by architects; however, they are less suitable in places with a high passage rate or between spaces with higher acoustic or thermal requirements such as between entrance hall and living room, where a pivoting door is a much more interesting alternative. The ideal field of application for a glass sliding door is, for example, between living space and kitchen or between living space and office, bedroom and dressing room,....
They are therefore considerably less suitable between locations with high passageways, where Anyway revolving doors will provide much better closure. In terms of user comfort a revolving door is also much more pleasant than a sliding door, for example hands-free opening of an Anyway door and automatic closing behind you.
In the case of a sliding door, you will need to open it very creatively with your hands full as it requires unusual sideways manipulation. Also, children will usually leave the sliding doors open, which can lead to frustration, heat loss and noise transmission...
It is perfectly possible to slide glass sliding doors between 2 walls, but several things have to be taken into account. At least the rail should be placed in front of the front wall, but preferably the entire system in order to optimise site movements. Sliding a sliding partition between 2 walls has several disadvantages, first of all it is not easy to clean between the walls and there is always the risk that the front partition will have to be taken down again in case of problems (think of toys that get blocked, such as Lego blocks).
With sliding glass doors in humid rooms, condensation will form on the cold glass plate and the condensation will settle between the walls when you subsequently slide the door between them, resulting in health risks.
Anyway developed its latest rail system in an ingenious way so that all important techniques, such as the brakes and adjustment possibilities, are on the door leaf or in the rail section above the door opening. This allows the sliding door to be removed in the door opening without essential elements between the walls that could require adjustment or maintenance.
With its made-to-measure glass sliding doors, Anyway Doors succeeds in fusing subtle lines and technical refinement in a timeless way. These sliding doors are available with different types of glass, ranging from clear, acidified or sandblasted glass to glass coloured in the core (light grey, dark grey,...). Very large sliding doors can be created with these glass panels, up to 5m². This type of glass sliding door is always equipped with a local floor guide so that nothing is visible on the floor when the sliding door is opened.
All sliding doors can be fitted with a fixed glass panel under the rail. This allows an opening to be divided up in a budget-friendly manner. It is also a visually calm solution that is attached with sober profiles around the glass. Below is a recent example where the rail and handles are finished in black. The rail is always either natural or black anodised aluminium.
A sliding glass door with an aluminium frame around the glass offers increased acoustic and thermal insulation. There is a choice of aluminium frames in which 1 or 2 panes of glass can be fitted. The aluminium frame around the glass also provides these sliding doors with an extra safety aspect. In the sliding glass door system with the aluminium frame on which 2 glass panels are glued, aluminium crossbars can be fitted between the glass panels to provide an attractive visual added value. These sliding doors can be made larger than 4.5m² per sliding panel.
In short, plenty of choice! A visit to the showroom is recommended because of the many possibilities.
