Room-high interior doors up to the ceiling

Interior doors from floor to ceiling have gained serious popularity in both new-build and "loft" inspired renovation projects in recent years. The Belgian brand Anyway Doors focuses on modern interior doors, in which interior doors up to the ceiling are also a popular speciality. Since 1995 the company has concentrated exclusively on innovative developments with regard to interior doors and sliding doors. Not only are doors the most frequently used building element in every home, they also take up a good percentage of the total wall area, especially in situations where the inner doors reach up to the ceiling. All the more reason to give interior doors the necessary extra attention so that you can make the right choices and above all make the correct preparations.

From the design stage onwards, particular attention was paid to high-tech and low-maintenance materials. All our internal doors up to the ceiling are "fully finished", i.e. do not require painting, are maintenance-friendly and resistant to common chemicals and detergents. The inner structure of the door leaf consists of anodised aluminium and Purhard foam, the optical end of the door is Resopal Massiv HPL ( 3 mm thick full core ).

From a purely technical point of view, Anyway makes it a point of honour to incorporate all closing technology, hinges and fittings invisibly into its products. The invisible hinges are therefore actually invisible, also with an opened door which is often not the case with other doors. The entire composition of the doors was revised in 2013 in order to meet the strong increase for higher interior doors. The result is an extremely stable door assembly that can be made up to 3 m high.

The assembly of the inner doors up to the ceiling is done after the entire house has been finished. In most cases a budget-friendly aluminium block frame is chosen around the door (see photo above). This BKO system is very easy to prepare since everything has to be finished as if no doors were installed. The entire door opening should therefore be plastered (also the inside!) and the floor should be laid before measuring. With Anyway doors nothing is anchored or built into the floor, so no special provisions have to be made in the floor construction.

An inside door of Anyway is always placed centrally on the wall thickness. At first sight an unusual philosophy, which may even go against the rest of the market, but on the other hand it does guarantee a stable and solid anchoring with an identical view on both sides of the door, without cracks or tears in the future!

This central mounting is definitely something to keep in mind for the future! If you are following the current trend towards doors without visible frames, this is extremely important advice to avoid cracks and tears! If desired, doors without a visible frame can also be used at ceiling height, but the necessary arrangements must be made beforehand! Timely advice is the most important factor here! Interior doors up to the ceiling can also be fitted with an invisible flush surround, as shown in the photo below, but the necessary profiles have to be fitted right from the building shell. Timely information and action is therefore the message!

The internal doors up to the ceiling can be finished with either a natural aluminium frame or a completely black frame and details. The entire locking technology can be offered in silver or black, which also makes complete black doors possible. Please take into account that black with children will be more sensitive to fingerprints, so you will have to go around more often with a cloth to remove stains. The frame, handles as well as the door leaf are, however, very maintenance-friendly and can be easily cleaned with all possible detergents except scouring agents such as Cif.
