Modern steel door interpretation

With our popular steel look interior doors, we create timeless eye-catchers that really come into their own in any interior design style. This modern steel door interpretation is light as a feather by using black anodised aluminium for the frame and the corresponding border. This light, sleek and low-maintenance material is combined with a wide range of toughened glass.

This allows you to easily adapt the door to the desired style and environment. Popular choices are full clear glass, black coloured glass or full matt acidified glass. These types of glass are all very easy to maintain. Acidified glass is chemically treated and creates the necessary privacy, but still allows 80% of the light through.

Modern use of materials

Matt black anodised aluminium forms the basis of our "steel look" collection. An extremely strong, light and low-maintenance material that is used for both the door frame and the chosen frame. In terms of glass, a wide selection of 6 and 8 mm thick tempered glass is offered. Transparent glass is processed by us in a completely clear or coloured grey and dark grey version.

For frosted glass, there is a choice of low-maintenance acidified glass, in a normal version and an extra-clear version (white). Coloured glass types are also available in an acidified version; both grey and dark grey can be used in a matt option. If you wish to have a motif, text or logo on the glass, this is possible with sandblasted glass. This type of glass is provided with a special Clearshield coating, but an acidified glass is still much easier to maintain.

With children or pets in the house, we always recommend clear, coloured or acidified glass.

Innovative invisible hinges

The steel door concept is equipped with a high-tech pivot hinge without any installation parts in the floor. The invisible hinge is fully integrated into the frame and fixed to the frame. Nothing needs to be built in or fitted to the floor! The door can optionally open in one (90°) or both (180°) directions.

The patented Anyway closing technology allows the door to open silently in both directions, whereby it can easily be locked to one side if required. This closing technique works without a traditional latch, magnetic lock or other lock systems so that the door can be used smoothly and hands-free. A built-in locking system locks the door at 90° in the open position.

Minimalist frames

For good acoustic and thermal sealing, we recommend the use of a frame. The minimalist "BKO" frame is the most popular choice for this door concept. The patented closing technology ensures a good seal and allows the door to be opened in one (90°) or both directions (180°).

Adjusting the direction of rotation is done with a simple change of the frame, this can also be changed after installation. This innovative technology also takes care of the sealing around the door panel so that there is no acoustic leakage or draft.

If desired, our doors can also be installed without a frame, but then we need to use a pivot hinge with floor and ceiling anchorage, and the door also loses its acoustic and thermal properties since there is a gap around the door in this configuration.

With our "steel look" collection, both normal revolving doors and large pivoting walls can be created. The concept can be used in both new buildings and renovations. Due to the compact hinge technology that is completely built into the frame of the door, it is ideal for installation on top of already finished floors.
