FRAME-A-WAY: pivot doors with unique hinges that do not require installation in the floor or ceiling.
All our pivoting doors can be installed without a frame due to the hinge technology that is fully integrated into the door panel. In such an arrangement, the pivot hinges are anchored locally on top of the fully finished floor and ceiling. Aesthetically, this is the ideal solution for real purists!
For practical reasons, we recommend working with the minimalist BKO frame (25mm) or an invisible IBO frame in residential homes. If you wish to create a good acoustic and thermal barrier, there is no better sealing system than our minimalist frames combined with our patented locking technology.
A pivoting door without a frame is a fairly inexpensive solution since there is no framing involved. No recessed elements need to be installed beforehand and the plasterer and floorer finish everything as if no doors were being installed. Please note, however, that the final gaps around the door are directly affected by the squareness of the doorway.
Preparation:
Below and above the door is a gap/space of 11 mm; to the left and right of the door panel 3 mm (if the opening is finished square and straight). A brush should ideally be placed at the bottom of the door. A gap always remains on the left, right and top as a brush would mark off on your painted walls.
The hinges are fixed on top of the finished floor and against the finished ceiling or lintel. The minimal floor anchoring (2 bolts, +- 4.5cm deep) allows for installation on almost any floor construction. A great deal of attention was paid to installation and user-friendliness in the development process so that the pivoting door can be used in both new buildings and renovation projects. The hinges are fully integrated into the door leaf so that almost nothing is visible on the floor.
Stealthpivot EN
This version is suitable for doors up to 1250 mm wide. The pivot foot can optionally be placed at 90 mm or 130 mm from the wall.
Stealthpivot XL
This version is suitable for doors 1250 mm to 2250 mm wide. The pivot foot can be placed either at 1/3 or centrally.
